Part A
Consider the touchpoints of your brand in general (to ensure that all the elements work together) and then focus on your packaging. Design a set of point of sale elements that will promote your product in-store. The set can consist of however many elements you choose. It can be in any format that you would like it to be. Please consider the following:
- Can customers clearly see your product in your point of sale elements?
Do you use your point of sale to also showcase your actual product? - Brand Integration
Does it integrate with the brand’s look and feel? - Designed to sell!
Does it persuade customers to buy your product?
After some thinking about what kind of POS elements I would like to make, I decided to make a standard stand and a advertising wobbler. Due to my product being dry pellets, I don’t really have to mind about keeping it cold. This way the elements can be free within the store.
First I found some mock-ups of the elements online, then I started skeching out some thumbail ideas to get a few options. Then I picked out the ones I liked and started refining these.
To make sure the POS elements works together with the rest of my elements I wanted to include the wiggly lines, but I did not like how this looked in the overall layout designs. I decided that each side would be a different color from the brand to make it match, and rather implement more elements from my brochure and packaging to bring the brand identity through.
I set up artboards in Illustrator and started making my design layout. Following the refined sketches I made, this was a nice and smooth process.
When the design were done, I put my mock-ups in Photoshop and started applying the designs. I wanted to include white as one of the main color aspects as well, so the shelf lines are white. This is the results after doing that.
