Perfume photography assignment
A conceptual photography assignment from my Noroff studies, where I explored lighting, composition, and narrative through portrait and still-life photography.
Year :
2025
Industry :
Photography
Client :
University Assignment
Project Duration :
2 weeks

Problem :
The brief was to capture a series of photos that demonstrated technical skill with lighting and composition while also telling a visual story. The challenge was to go beyond “nice pictures” and create images with intention and narrative.
Solution :
I explored both studio and natural light setups to produce portraits and still-life images. Careful attention was given to framing, angles, and contrast to highlight the subject matter. Editing in Lightroom helped refine color grading and mood, ensuring the photos conveyed atmosphere and consistency across the series.

Challenge :
Working with limited equipment meant I had to get creative with light sources and backdrops. Controlling shadows and highlights while keeping detail intact required experimentation and adjustment. Achieving cohesion between images was another challenge, as each photo had to feel like part of a larger story.
Summary :
Photography 3 demonstrates a strong understanding of light, composition, and post-production. The final set of images communicates mood and narrative, elevating them beyond technical exercises into a cohesive photographic series.
